The Historical Engine Society is a non-profit organization. The website empowers members of the club to communicate and gather news about upcoming events. In 2003 when the site was founded, it was simply a static set of pages explaining the club. Though the years its undergone many renovations, including most recently switching to a more robust content management system called WordPress.
